CULTURAL DRAPERY

The curtain project aimed to research and create an ideal curtain that manages acoustics, temperature, and light, while showcasing a unique design style. The challenge was to integrate techniques like knitting, crocheting, or weaving into the curtain’s design.

The concept drew inspiration from the parandi, a traditional Punjabi hair ornament adorned with multicolored silk threads, floral designs, and ornamental tassels.

Where Tradition Meets Texture

A soft fabric in rich blue was chosen, and detailed weaving techniques were employed to incorporate golden accents.

Braided Elegance in Every Fold

The curtain was assembled with careful attention to detail, ensuring that each braid and embellishment was perfectly aligned to achieve both the desired aesthetic and effective light.
